SNOW
I remember the first time I heard a thunderous silence.
After meditating proved useless, impossible, a feat
Observe your mind,
And stop the chatter
Just for one little minute.
Books piled on the shelf
On the Power of Now
The conscious and the sub-consious
Because this is the secret to healing, the key to doing life right
If only, but could I actually do it?
And then, on the top of the mountain in Crans-Montana
After the initial gasp of seeing peaks of snow all around
Shoes need to be tied, bent down to do so
Standing back up
I heard it.
Silence,
Can it be described? The lack of sound, like whole world was holding its breath
It hit forcefully, and suddenly
There was no chatter,
My ever streaming brain was silent
It was nature that stilled me
And it still does, now.
